Today, I saw an utterly disgusting rat in the middle of an alley in Taipei.
In the morning while I was riding my bike back from my soccer club I encountered a horible, filthy rodent. I didn't notice it until I ran over it's tail and felt a slight bump. When I looked back, there was a fat mouse lying and suffering from the excruciating pain from its tail. But I really didn't care about a dirty rat so I made up my mind and just kept on riding.
Yesterday, I felt amazing excitement rushing through my blood as I knew I would be able to play my new game when I got home. During the afternoon I was crazy to get home and play my extremely awesome new game. I was jumpy and didn't really like waiting to play it. But, study always comes first so I had my Chinese class for 2 whole hours and was only able to play at 6:47 PM.
This week I learned that back hundreds of years ago people did know there were other countries, not only themselves. I was having a Topic lession in school this week when a weird question popped in my mind. Did people back in the 1400s know that there were other countries besides the one they were living in? Then, my amazing teacher bombarded me with reason as to how people did know about the existence of other countries.
Tomorrow, I hope I will go cut my hair, I am still waiting as to if that will be possible. Next week, I am travelling to Cambodia and Malaysia, so I don't want to have my hair looking like a motorbike helmet in my holidays picture. For that simple reason I'm really hoping To cut my hair tomorrow.

Today, I saw a beautiful burger laying on a plate. I went to have lunch with my step-dad in a place near his office. I don't actually remember the name but they serve really great food. Today I asked for their 'Signature Burger'and it was incredubly tasty filled with amazing ingredients. Too bad it was humongous and made it impossible for me to finish.
Yesterday, I felt a rush of excitement as I was watching the last point of a tennis match. At 4 PM I started to watch the Serbian tennis player, Djokovic, play the final against the Scottish, Andy Murray. Throughout the match the two of them were quite impressive since they had played extremely well during the whole championship and still made it to the final; but Murray couldn't cope with Djokovic's tennis power.
It was the end of the last set and Djokovic scored an ACE and was suddenly serving for the Australian Open Championship point. He was already winning 2 sets to 0 and so would win if he took this last set. He took a deep breath and was absolutely sure that in a few moments he would be holding the trophe. He then served and started the rally with Murray. Suddenly Murray hit the ball out and simply gave the championship away.
Last week, I learned that Cambodia is an amazing country filled with ancient palaces. I'm travelling to Cambodia and so deceided it would be nice to know a bit about the country and the palaces I'm going to visit. I was in the middle of my research when I came through an article written by a journalist who had travelled there few years back. He mentioned the street markets filled with the poor, trying to sell you their handcrafts for 1 U$ and he also mentioned the great food for a vey cheap price; but he made a point that 'Angkor Wat' is the one place you have to go when you visit Cambodia. I finished and was pleased with myself for learning some facts of the country I'm about to visit.
Tomorrow, I hope I will get to read on my flight. I recently bought some books from the Alex Rider series and I want to get through them all. So I hope instead of sleeping I will read!!!

Last week I learned how to play a solo on guitar. I had nothing to do and was extremely bored. Then, I picked my guitar and told myself I would learn a new song. So I searched in the Internet and found a solo I could learn to play. And so I did! I watched a video lesson, then got the tabs. After 1 hour of practising I was able to play it and that made me very happy.
Today, I saw the most beautiful human made thing in my life. I visited Cambodia and the first thing I did was visit Angkor Wat. Me and my family took a taxi to the Ankor Palace. When I got there we couldn't see much and so started walking the way other people were. When we got to the bridge leading to the palace me and my family were stunned by its beauty. Each tower of the temple was built resembling a Lotus flower. If the palace was already incredible from the outside the inside could only be better. And I was right! The inside was amazingly huge and it our curiosity that led my family to many different places than after some exhausting hours beneath the blazing sun we went back to the hotel and in the refreshing swimming pool!
Yesterday, I felt very exhausted due to my flight. To get to Cambodia I had to stop at Kuala Lumpur and from there catch a flight to Siem Reap. The flight to Kuala Lumpur was about 5 hours long and I just hate staying inside an airplane. So I couldn't wait to get to the hotel and have a good night of sleep.
Tomorrow, I hope I will be able to buy some stuff from the Siem Reap Night Market near my hotel. I'm going to a street market near my hotel tomorrow and I really want to get something as a souvenir. I want to get a little wooden instrument which make a sound similar to this, 'bonbon,banben...'. I think its really cool and I want to get it so I can have one of Cambodia's weird instruments.

Today, I saw a Chinese person fart in the middle of the hotel lobby.
I was with my family in the Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu for the end of my holidays. Today there was a live band playing, so we went down to the lobby to listen to them play. Unfortunately, there was a interruption. It was indeed a weird interruption since the sound was a gas coming out from a man's bottom. When it happened quite a few people turned aroung to see it but he seemed not to mind.
Yesterday, I felt a bit of sadness knowing it was one of my last days of holidays.
I was a bit sad but I still managed to have a lot of fun. I went rafting in some river. I played in the hotel's swimming pool and I even played Tennis with my big brother. I had so much fun that at the end of the day I just needed a good rest.
Last week, I learned that tennis isn't so hard. I was playing in the pool with my brother when we noticed a tennis court. He and I had no experience at all but we still wanted to try and so went over to my step-dad and asked if we could rent the equipment. He agreed with us and we went to get everything we needed. At the start my brother and I were horrible but after some we actually started to play okay. In the end even my parents played and it was awesome!!!
Tomorrow, I hope it will be another awesome day. Yes, its sad but tomorrow is the last day of my holidays. The resort I'm staying is incredible and I ought to have a really great time; and since it IS the last day it has to be amazing. With my family I'm sure it will be possible and the facilities of the hotel help even more. I have no doubt that tomorrow will be the perfect ending of this amazing and special Chinese New Year!!!

Today I saw, a boy in Yr 4 get hit by a ball. I was playing soccer with some Yr 4s and 3s when Zack, a boy in Yr 4, get hit by a ball right in the stomach. It was a Yr 3 who kicked and he did indeed do it uncarefully, he received a pass and just lashed out with his foot to kick the ball. It travelled fastly until it hit the poor boy's stomach, making him feel a great deal of pain and gasp for air that the hit had taken out of him. I felt sory for him and asked if he was okay but he just cried and didn't answer.
Yesterday I felt extremely bored. It was pouring down the whole day and so I couldn't go out. I have quite a lot of things that I can do at home and so chose to play my XBOX 360 which I stopped playing after an hour. Then I read. I also stopped reading after a while otherwise I would finish my book too fast. Next, I tried to watch TV but al the channels I checked were filled with non-sense programs. You probably guessed what I did next! I stopped watching TV! I suddenly became angry! There was nothing I could do to satisfy myself and I was running out of options! So I layed down in bed and took a nap. Finally, there was something interesting! I couldn't wait for the next day to arrive and some action pour into my day.
Last week, I learned that I'm a horrible drawer. My first attempt to make a nice drawing last week was in my Maths class. We were doing some 'rangolis' and I tried really hard to make it pretty but I couldn't! In the end mine looked horrible, like it was coloured and then someone poured water on to it! Even the shapes were a bit messy and, like I have already mentioned, the colours were revolting! My second attempt was in Arts. We had to draw stuff in the style of William Morris and I personnaly think his work is extremely repelling! It is so old-fashioned and I had to draw like HIM?! " Come on!" I thought. But I had to do it. So I started drawing flowers and branches and things. One of my flower's looked like Goofy's hand while one of my branches was magically going through another! But the worst was the colouring. I accidently made 2 branches red and a flower was so brown if someone saw it they would think it was dog waste! I really suck at drawing but I am still trying hard, one day I might actually learn how to draw something that isn't a stick-man!
Tomorrow I hope my brother's assembly will be fun. My brother is in Mr Sullivan's class and he has been talking about his assembly for 2 weeks! So have my friends in his class.. They say it is so cool and that its so funny and awesome! I can't wait to see for myself this 'incredible piece of work'!

Today, I saw chaos in the playground. During 1st break I was just wandering around not doing anything when a girl fell-off the monkey bars and seemed to be hurt. That happened because no one was actually caring about other people and there were so many people that it was hard to know who was where. The bars were filled with dirty hands that only wanted to get a grip on any of the yellow bars. It was chaotic, until the girl fell. After she did most of the people backed off and went to do something else.
Yesterday I felt extremely happy as the referee blew the whistle signalizing the end of the match. During the morning TES Saturday Football team confronted a team made of Year 7s. So it was pretty hard for us. They were stronger and some faster than us but we still won. It was a very tight match until halftime and the score was 2-1 for them. That was when me, my brother and Jakub arrived and everyone was delighted. Just as we started playing the second-half there was a corner for TES. I took it and it went past everyone until it reached Jakub's leg, giving him an excellent opportunity. He kicked and we scored a goal, drawing. Then, both teams had some good chances but the net stayed still. That was until Henrique,my brother, passed to Jakub. When Jakub received it he was in front of the goal and the goalkeeper was near my brother not Jakub. So he calmly kicked scoring again and putting us in front.
Last week I learned some more about Brazil's discovery. There are many different opinions about WHO discovered Brazil. Some think it was the Portuguese but some think Spanish sailors had already fount it before. And there were indians inhabiting the land, which meant it was theirs. So there are possibilities that I didn't know before but now I do and that is going to help me with my research.
Tomorrow I hope I will be fine and not shy while we go on the parade. At the afternoon Yr6s are going to be joining a parade in Taipei Arena. We are doing a Scottish Dance and I'm one of the dancers, so I cannot be nervous or shy because if I do, other people might get affected. But I'm confident and think we will do a great job as a group. If you read this today, wish me good LUCK!!!

Today, I saw a marching band made of brass instruments. At about 2pm my brother, my step-dad and I went to a university, which has a big soccer field, to play some soccer. When we got there it was quiet and then suddenly music burst out of nowhere. When we looked to where the sound was coming from, there was a huge chinese marching band. They were playing trumpet, saxophone and some other brass instruments. They were actually pretty good and it was fun to play with music around!!!
Yesterday, I felt captivated knowing my friend was coming over to my house. At first I wasn't so happy because Jun Young's parents weren't picking up their phone and so I couldn't invite him. But then his parents called, and they said it was okay for him to come. So we went to the university in front of my house to play some soccer. Then we came back to my house, drank milkshake and ate donuts, and watched some TV. At last we played XBOX and at 7pm his mother picked him up.
Last week, I learned that Taipei has some elegant forts. In our school we had a field trip to 2 forts in Taipei. The first I don't remember the name but it was awesome. Basically it was little and some large rooms on the lower level and on the upper level was where they had the cannons. Then we went to the San Domingo Fort which was where the people inhabiting it kept the international prisoners. After, we went to a university to visit a museum and have lunch and then we finally went back to school.
Tomorrow I hope I won't be too tired. We have had 4 days off school and tomorrow children are going back. I'm a bit used to waking up later than normal now and so I hope I won't be dying for a bed during schooltime.

Today I saw a very bad dog. I was looking out in the street wondering what was the answer for my Maths homework when I saw a dog going crazy. Its owner was walking one way and the dog was refusing to do the same. The owner was pulling it harder and harder and the dog started jumping and spinning and eventually going towards people to smell them. The owner, probably angry about the situation, pulled the dog harder and harder until it stopped and did the right thing.
Yesterday I felt shocked by the greatness and beaty of Martyr's Shrine. I went with my family to Martyr's Shrine yesterday noon, and it amazing. Chinese structures have always made me speechless and so had this one, even though it's not as big as most of the others. There weren't many things to do so after we took a lot of pictures we headed out and went back home.
Last week I learned a new soccer trick. As my step-dad,brother and I were playing soccer, my step-dad decided to show us a new trick without the ball. As you run towards a direction you spin and start running the other way. Then, the marker will keep going the way you were running and you become free and your team mates will be able to pass to you.
Tomorrow I hope, Carnival will be better than I expect. Carnival has always been one of the most fun things children do during the year, but this year Ms Corry broke all the happiness by cancelling it and having just a normal parade. But to our rescue, our amazing teachers came up with an idea to dress up in something different and do a little dance. My class' theme is Alice in Wonderland and I'm dressing up as the Rabbit. We are going to do the Macarena dance which is the only dance I'm able to do. So I'm hoping it's not going to be as boring as I thought it would be in first place

Today I saw, a couple on a motorcycle. When I was in the bus, going back home, I looked out the window to see a crazy family on a motorbike. They were doing the Chinese or Taiwanese style of riding a motorcycle with your whole family. First there was a girl. Then the father who was driving. Then a baby squished up in the middle of her father and mother, who was next. Finally, there was a boy that seemed about 10 years old, behind his mother. It is a pity that I couldn't take a picture but it surely was CRAZY!
Yesterday I felt nervous, knowing that today I would be going to a Year Five classroom. It felt like my tummy was itching and I kept on thinking I had forgot something which I didn't. It was crazy. But then I went to sleep and I calmed down. I just wished I would be okay.
Last week I learned some things about Slavery. In Topic last week we were learning about slavery and I was stunned by the number of things that you can learn about it. I knew what slavery was, but nothing about the history of it. We focused on how explorers and sailors went out of their way to capture slaves. Slaves that were captured would even help the 'white people' to catch other Indians so they could get money. After sailors captured slaves they would sell them! Disgusting it is.
Thank god in the 20th or 19th century it was stopped but even today it still happens.
Tomorrow I hope it will be as 'smooth' as today. I had a pretty calm and easy day and I hope tomorrow will be something of the kind. But I have PE and that means SWIMMING and that could shake things up a little. However, I think and hope tomorrow will be calm.

Today I saw dozens of people falling helplessly to the ground as some others skated through the ice rink as if they were simply walking. In th morning I went ice skating in Taipei Arena with my brother and Mason ( a.k.a Mei Mei). I did pretty well and even raced against a Japanese dude. Anyways, I went there because I had been there once and it was really fun, especially to see others falling. Today it was as fun as I expected and that made me feel not-bored, which was pretty good.
Yesterday I felt excited as I received the news that my uncle is coming to visit me in Taipei. My mum was talking to my uncle on Skype and then I went to ask her a question. When i got close to her I noticed she was looking very happy. Suddenly she said that uncle John, who is my favourite uncle, will be coming to Taipei. So i felt extremely happy and excited.
Last week, I learned a new song on guitar. I was bored, nothing to do, so I picked up my guitar and wondered what to play I couldn't think of a song I knew how to play but there was one I was thinking about, '21 Guns'. Tomorrow I hope packing my bags will not bore me to death. On Friday I'm going to Bali, Indonesia, So I have to pack my bags, that's something I passionately dislike (that last bit is just to pleasure Ms Bae). But I can't wear the same thing in my holidays and I can't go naked on the street. That leaves me with one option. Pack MY Bags!!! And although I do detest packing my bags I really want to visit Bali and if for that to happen I have to pack my bags... I will do so.

Today I saw the beautiful Rice Terrace in Bali. I was having a tour of the main tourist spots in Bali, when suddenly we stopped at the Rice Terrace. It looked like huge rectangles of tall grass all stacked up together to make a mountain of green growing rice. I was fascinated and I was lucky to take a picture like one of the farmers, as one of them was going past and offered me his hat and other things.
Yesterday I felt relieved as I plunged into the hotel bed. The hours I spent in airports and the time i spent flying in the freezing airplanes, had drained all my energy out of me.When I finally got to Bali I took a taxi to my hotel and was happy to see how awesome it was. The only thing I didn't see were the rooms. But I was sure they were going to be just as nice as the lobby. And I was right. The room was super good and the bed seemed to make me sleep easily. After some time laying motionless on the bed, I got up and went out for dinner with my folks.
Last week I learned nothing as it was holidays and I spent most of my time doing other things. I played games, talked to friends, played soccer and watched TV. But I didnt really learn anything...
Tomorrow I hope I will sleep until late in the morning so I won't be tired during the day!!!:)

Today I saw NOTHING. Just joking... Today I saw, huge signs near the bus and MRT stops. As you know, there is a Flora Expo (a place that presents many flowers and thing built with them) here in Taipei. For people to get interested, the government or the dudes from Flora Expo put signs of the Expo's symbol and how to get there, and there are many signs on the public transport station or stops. So I couldn't help but to notice it...
Yesterday I felt, excited as the bell rang. I got a new wardrobe on Saturday and it was delivered yesterday. I waited for it to come and when the bell rang I ran to the door to get it. There were two men that were going to build it and boxes that seemed very heavy. The workers only finished after one hour, and it looked amazing.
Last week I learned a bit about the Balinese culture. What I found really interesting was something I saw in the Holy Water Temple. There was a huge dirty pool and on the front wall there were dragon heads sculptures. Out of their mouth, water was gushing out and the Balinese people who were inside the pool, washed their hair with the water and prayed. Then they would put money or flowers on the dragon head. "Very different," I thought!
Tomorrow I hope the water of the swimming pool wont be freezing... As tomorrow is Tuesday, I have swimming, which I really really HATE! And since I'm in the middle group (which I shouldn't be because I'm not good enough) it makes me extremely TIRED! And to top this monstrous cake, the water is COLD!!!

Today I saw a metal bat coming closer to my face. I had T-ball today and when I was waiting to bat, the person in front of me started practising their swing. He suddenly moved just far enough so that when he swinged, the metal bat slammed on my jaw with its full power. Pain shot through my whole body but I held my tears back and got on. It hurt a lot and Mr Luis wanted me to see the nurse as it was starting to swell. But it was my turn and I wanted to bat. So I batted and amazingly with my jaw screaming in pain, I completed a home-run. Then I went to the nurse and put an ice pack on and got better.
Yesterday I felt irritated. For some reason, the high-school in front of my house was having some kind of festival. Unfortunately it played some real horrible music and it started early. So, instead of waking up when I wanted to, I woke up early with some stupid music. I was a bit angry but there was nothing I could do... So I got up and did my things.
Last week I learned about electric circuits. In science last week we were doing some work on electrical circuits and we actually got to experiment with them using light bulbs, motors, cells (battery) and cell holders. I LOVED IT!!! But i wasn't the only one. In my group Mateusz was just as pumped as I and we did some pretty cool stuff. And I am extremely happy because Ms Bae has told us that this Thursday we are going to work on that again, but without having to worry too much about diagrams.
Tomorrow I hope our class assembly wont be a disaster. Yes, the time has come for the B6CB Class (a.k.a the best class in the school, not Mr Sullivan's) Assembly. I think we started practising a bit late and our show is not perfect enough for us to present it. But we have to do it and we will just have to do our best...

Today I saw many hills passing by. In the morning I came back from Kaouhsiung by HSR (the high-speed train) and stared out the window for a while. I watched many hills and far away mountains quickly passing by as the train sped towards Taipei. After I stopped and started playing with my uncle and then, after a while, we reached Taipei! YAY:):):)
Yesterday I felt happy, riding a bike with my uncle and family. Yesterday when I was in Kaohsiung, we rented a bike from the hotel and we rode along the bicycle path for a long time. We wanted to get to that building with 85 floors and we rode to it. After we watched the sunset from the observation floor, we got back on our bikes and rode back to the hotel.
Last week, I learned that I should not leave my soccer ball outside themusic classroom otherwise someone is going to take it. And I learned it the hard way. I left my ball outside the music classroom because I was going in to practice. I got out at the end of break and forgot to take my ball. Next break I remembered about my ball and when I went back to get it, it wasnt there. This week I found it in the Lost & Found. FINALLY!
Tomorrow I hope, that my Rock Band practice will go ok. Sometimes when our band practices we go a bit crazy and our practice is not so affective, so I hope we will do it perfectly tomorrow!

Today I saw my team, Red Flames, become the champions of the Saturday Soccer Tournament! Our team (without subs who were: Rahul, Jatin, Yohann.) had Shawn in goal, Kristian and Chloey in defense, Mason and I in midfield and Henrique (Captain) in attack.
We played 2 games and qualified to the semi final which we won. Then we went to the finals and beat the Japanese School (who were very polite and played very well) 4-2. So we are, like last year, the CHAMPIONS!!!
Yesterday I felt excited as I knew today we were going to be the CHAMPIONS! I was very excited because my team is pretty good so I was really hoping we cold take the trophy, again!
Last week I learned that I should not try to explain something to Mr Milner when he is shouting at someone. A friend of mine was running up the stairs to get his card, and he had to go fast. But Mr Milner saw him and started telling him off. I tried to explain with him but Mr Milner got angry with ME too!
Tomorrow I hope I go watch a movie in the cinema since its been a long time since I went last and there are some movies I want to watch.

Today I saw Year 5s and 6s turn around from the CAFETERIA door disappointed. It wasn't raining enough to get anyone ACTUALLY WET, but the teachers in the cafeteria still wouldn't let anyone out. So dozens of pupils got ready and excited to go back to play and went to the door, but their excitement died when the teachers said they couldnt go and BLA BLA BLA. So they just turned around, upset, and went back to their tables....
Today I feel (slight change only for today) a bit sad because there is a change this week. My best friend which I ALWAYS play with is going to Camp Taiwan, because he is in Yr 5. So I will only see him on Saturday. That means we wont see each other for FOUR days... Thats bad for me so thats why I am a BIT down. But he is going to have a lot of fun there and I DO have other friends too... so everything is still good!
Last week I learned that Chinese teenagers can be quite annoying and a bit stupid. On Saturday, Axel came to my home and me and him went to the Science Museum right next to my home. But it was PACKED with people because of the Body Expo. So there obviously were some teenagers. 4 of them kept going around me and Axel to look at us... Which was weird. But we went in and when we came out the 4 were still there. Then they asked to take a picture of and with us. And thats what made me think they can be a bit stupid sometimes.... They went out of their way and waited outside in the HOT weather JUST so they could take a picture with us!
Tomorrow I hope that breaks will be ok without my best friend in Yr 5 and that I will find people to play with....

Today I saw, my new soccer ball roll on the astro turf field. On Thursday I bought a new Real Madrid Jabulani soccer ball. It's really AWESOME and it's really good to play with too. It was worth the price!
Yesterday I felt, super happy as I walked slowly and suddenly stopped to shoot someone in Axel's (a.k.a MY SUPER DUPER BEST FRIEND) birthday party. His party was at Lazer Treks and it was really fun. The best of it was to stay with him and have loads of fun but what was also good was that.... I was first in EVERY SINGLE match! And in the end I was the champion, when it ended at 3. But the fun continued when I went to his house and played in the pool! It was SOOO FUN!
Last week I learned that I should not be nervous about SATs. But I still had problems learning in that 'lesson'. Today was the first SATs paper and I WAS quite nervous throughout the test...
Tomorrow I hope that the Reading SAT from this year will not be as hard as the practice tests. Yes, it's sad but TOMORROW, it's Reading SAT day. For me it is the hardest or maybe 2nd hardest test and I am a bit worried about it.... But I know I AM going to get an EXCELLENT GRADE! YAY!

I went to the Internet and got the tabs. I kept playing until I was doing okay. In my opinion its a great song so it was a great achievement.

My Real Madrid Soccer Ball |
YAY!
